"The future depends on what we do in the present" - Mahatma Gandhi

Our relationships are such an important part of our lives that when we are experiencing difficulties with those relationships it can affect every other area of our lives. The stresses we experience such as financial problems, work issues, demands on our time and energy, raising children etc can put a strain on our relationships with those closest to us. We can find ourselves tired, stressed and overwhelmed.

Differences in personality, goals in life, expectations of what a relationship “should” be, and communication style can result in difficulties and leave us feeling disconnected from each other and lonely. All too often the love we feel can be overshadowed by our different expectations of each other and how we communicate them to each other.

Counselling can help by exploring what your needs are in your relationship and how you meet those needs, and also how you communicate with those closest to you.

When a relationship breaks down we can feel all of the grief and sorrow of the loss of the person we loved and the dreams we had of our future in that relationship.

If you have experienced the breakdown of a relationship or are finding it difficult to cope, Counselling can help you through what can be a very difficult time.
